Cape Town is a city that is both healthy and environmentally conscious, and a new transportation service launching in early 2020 will allow locals to travel the city carbon emission-free. Electric scooter and bike rental company, Lime, is launching a fleet of scooters throughout the Mother City. Cape Town is helping to lead the way forward on technology and innovation in Africa, and Lime’s mission is to improve the city’s urban living through providing sustainable, affordable transportation to South Africans living in and travelling in Cape Town.

The fleet of scooters will be available to rent at multiple locations across the city, and there’s also an app to download. The app works similarly to the Uber and will allow you to rent dock-free bikes, e-assist bikes and electric scooters by simply scanning a barcode. All the vehicles will have built-in trackers, meaning it will be easy to find the closest ride. Here’s to more innovative solutions!
