The new routing will start to operate on 24 October 2020 however government approval is still needed. According to Delta, the triangular route from Atlanta to Johannesburg to Cape Town would attract passengers flying from the U.S. to two destinations in South Africa, as well as travellers to the U.S. from both these cities.
