Accace Adept is looking into the potential of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market in Sub-Saharan Africa, a region that is fast becoming the popular choice among international investors due to sustainable returns on investments throughout the area.

South Africa is the second-largest economy on the African continent but holds a GDP rate higher than that of Nigeria, which has the continent’s largest economy. South Africa’s location on the global map makes it the preferred gateway into Africa for traders; it shares the same or similar time zones to the rest of Africa and most parts of Europe, making it easier to conduct business. The country is also home to the largest container port in Africa – Durban.

The costs of outsourcing to South Africa are significantly lower compared to other near-shore locations around the globe, allowing foreign investors to benefit from arbitrage opportunities. The country’s value is not only attributed to its cost-effectiveness but also to its many other beneficial factors as well, such as an advanced telecommunication and IT industry, and an English-speaking, skilled labour force. A well-established manufacturing sector accommodated by Special Economic Zones created adjacent to the country’s trade ports, government support, and professional financial, legal and healthcare services make South Africa a favoured outsourcing destination.

Accace has joined forces with Adept Advisory to address the shared challenges and achieve success in the BPO industry. Adept Advisory is a South African company established in 2007, gaining repute as world leaders in professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions. The company provides services in risk advisory, financial operations and digital solutions to many of the Top 100 JSE Listed companies and other medium and large size organisations.

Managing Director at Adept Advisory, Justin van Lienden says: “Adept Advisory has a wide local market reach and an excellent track record of creating successful collaborations with local and international brands in South Africa in the field of business advisory. Accace elevates the experience by providing top-tier accounting and payroll outsourcing solutions, built on well-recognised international standards and utilising the latest cloud technology. We look forward to working together as one team to explore new opportunities and support our clients with full-range BPO services in South Africa.”

Accace Adept’s primary objective is to deliver a scope of services identical to that for other markets globally, ranging from market entry and incorporation support to full-range BPO in the area of accounting and reporting, payroll and HR administration, tax compliance and regulatory services.

Mihaela Pašek-Virlan, CEO of Accace says: “Both Adept Advisory and Accace are built on common values that are reflected in the way we do business. It represents so much more than delivering professional BPO and advisory services; it represents our vision of businesses led responsibly; it reflects a people-centric professional service delivered both towards external and internal Customers. That is the solution we want to deliver in the Sub-Saharan region.”

Pašek-Virlan adds: “We aim to support businesses already present in the South African market and international brands willing to enter the South African market. We also encourage African companies to explore the European and global market, supported by a reliable global partner.”
