The proudly South African labels cater for all styles from classic, modern, millennial to curvy; and are manufactured in the City of Cape Town – one of the world’s top manufacturing cities, and made primarily by women-owned businesses using locally made linens and cotton.

South African e-commerce on the up and up.

While the South African e-commerce market is still in its infancy by international standards, it offers huge investment opportunities in a rapidly growing industry.

The International Data Corporation says spending by businesses on public cloud services in South Africa will nearly triple from R4.29bn in 2017 to R11.53bn by 2022. Significantly, the adoption of cloud services will generate 112 000 new jobs creating an ecosystem and market for cloud-based services and companies.

Cape Town has gained prominence as the DigiTech capital of Africa and home to many successful global start-ups. The city has a world-class digital ecosystem, attracting both local and international investors with its highly skilled expertise and sophisticated infrastructure.

According to statistics from Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Intelligence 2019, Cape Town attracted 59 foreign direct investment projects in the DigiTech industry between 2003 and 2018. This investment represents 17,2% of 344 FDI projects in the city. It also indicates a healthy environment for investors to continue to explore lucrative investment opportunities.

Loot.co.za excited about the prospects.

Loot.co.za has welcomed an increase in traffic and sales this year and will provide the backbone, infrastructure, and payment options for the new platform, including direct deposit for those without credit cards or online activated debit cards.

The chief executive of Loot.co.za, Greg le Roux said that StyleMode had been in the pipeline for a while as there has been a gap in the online fashion space for some time now, which allowed an opportunity for a retailer to come on board and challenge the established players.

Le Roux said, “Choosing to launch StyleMode now is not only about creating a commercial advantage for the upcoming summer season. It is also a commitment to the brands and suppliers we have formed relationships with while developing the business and building the platform. And who deserves the support, in what is still, a challenging economic environment,

“I would like to acknowledge and congratulate the team for their exceptional work in getting StyleMode to this point. If effort equals output, then I know this will be a success from the get-go, and I look forward to seeing the platform become an established contributor to the fashion scene, in a concise space of time.” concluded Le Roux.

South Africa’s latest online fashion destination.

The new online retail store offers a wide range of well-known brands as well as its own exclusive label catering for both men and women’s apparel.

For those interested in participating in the upcoming Black Friday retail specials, StyleMode will be featuring deals.
