Hot off the press from the C40 Cities World Mayor Summit

Congratulations is in order as Cape Town was announced as one of 26 finalists for the 2019 C40 Cities Bloomberg Philanthropies Awards, one of only two African cities to be in the running.

Finalists were selected from various projects featured in Cities100 which aims to showcase 100 of 2019’s most forward-thinking and inclusive climate action projects from all over the world. Cape Town proved itself worthy of a seat at the finalists table with the Small Scale Embedded Generation work showcased as a global example of the City’s commitment to clean energy!

Cape Town has also been recently showcased at the Hall of City Solutions for the Water resilience work done during the drought. Well done Cape Town – let’s keep up all the great work and initiatives to make this a better place for all!
