Safety precautions before getting on board.

While travel is back on the cards, safety should always remain a top priority.

  • Guests must complete a pre-screening questionnaire which includes a declaration of Covid-19 symptoms.
  • If the guests meet the pre-screening requirements, the booking is approved.
  • If the guests do not meet the pre-screening requirements, the booking is postponed to a later date.
  • Crew members will wear a face mask, latex gloves and be issued with a sanitiser.
  • At each departure, the air conditioning system will be cleaned and disinfected.
  • The train will have a doctor on board along with two isolation suites.
  • The cleaning and steaming of frequently use facilities such as doors, handles, furniture, surfaces and toilets.

A once in a lifetime adventure with Rovo Rail

Established in 1989, Rovos Rail offers guests a tour through some of the most picturesque scenes in South Africa and is an extravagant journey of note. They provide world-class service, accommodation and excursions.
