Zimele has deep expertise in strategic areas. Firstly, Zimele is a world-leader in the strategy, design, build and support of the SAP ERP Industry Solution for the Utilities Sector. They cover critical areas of utility revenue management, advanced smart meter management, device management, integration services, revenue management, customer care, and billing and invoicing.

Secondly, Zimele has deep expertise in the SAP Real Estate solution, covering the entire real estate management life cycle, data management, and integration services to other third-party systems. This includes GIS and Auto CAD systems, asset management and utility systems.

Finally, Zimele is an expert in the Human Resources Business Systems Training environment. Zimele specialises in SAP HR Business Systems Content Development, Training Administration and Training Delivery, and covering areas such as Employee Administration, Compensation, Talent Management, Performance Management, Professional Development, Labour Relations, and Occupational Health and Safety.

HOW HAS ZIMELE SHAPED THE ECONOMIC LANDSCAPE IN CAPE TOWN?

Since its formation, Zimele has played a significant role in helping to address some of the major economic inequalities in Cape Town. At the outset, Zimele was formed with the help of the City of Cape Town’s graduate internship programme. In 2003, all Zimele’s graduates came from the University of the Western Cape, and most of the graduates came from the Cape Flats. The objective was to provide them with the best and most relevant IT experience, enabling them to find better jobs in the future.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Growth is key to the future success of Zimele, be it through organic or inorganic means. At this stage, Zimele would like to expand their service offerings to include the latest developments in smart technologies in the SAP ERP environment, as well as the digital space, including advancing metering systems, cloud computing, security, data analytics, mobility and social media, grow their client base across all sectors, and expand their geographic footprint from South Africa further into the SADC region, as well as into sub-Saharan Africa.
